Volga-Dnepr Gulf completes its first C-check
Volga-Dnepr Gulf, the Middle Eastern affiliate of Russian MRO provider Volga-Dnepr Technics, has completed its first C-check. The operation was performed in Sharjah on a Boeing 737-300 operated by Kyrgyz carrier Avia Traffic Company.
The contract covered a full range of services, from C1/C2-checks to airworthiness directives and service bulletins (AD/SB), as well as A1/A2/A3/А4-checks. The MRO provider also implemented the corrosion prevention and control program (CPCP). All works were carried out in compliance with the Kyrgyz aviation authority’s approval and the certificate entitling Volga-Denpr Gulf to provide all types of line and base maintenance on Boeing 737-300/400/500 aircraft.
Volga-Dnepr Gulf has been active in the United Arab Emirates since 1996. The company’s personnel are ratd on the Boeing 747, Boeing 737CL/NG, and Airbus A320, as well as on the Soviet-built Antonov An-124, Ilyushin Il-76, An-24/26/32, and An-74 types. The company’s hangar facilities measuring 22,000 sq.m can accommodate six narrowbodies or two widebodies simultaneously, and are equipped with structural and wheel repair tools.
The company also runs a base at Fujeirah airport, also in the UAE, which specializes in servicing An-24/26, An-74, and Il-76 aircraft operated in Russia, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
