Total passenger traffic at Vladivostok International Airport (VVO) in Russian Far East rose by 12% compared to 2025, reaching 703,000 passengers in the first three months of the year.
As in previous months, international routes were the main growth driver. Since the start of the year, 209,000 passengers have been handled on international flights — a 34% year-over-year increase. Domestic traffic totaled 494,000 passengers, up 5%.
In March alone, total traffic at VVO grew by 14% to 255,000 passengers. On domestic routes, the airport handled 178,000 passengers — an 8% increase from the same period last year. Significant passenger growth was seen on flights to Moscow, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
On international routes in March, the airport served 77,000 passengers (+34%), with China-bound flights accounting for more than half of that volume — 46,000 passengers.
Key developments in March included the resumption of Hainan Airlines’ flights to Dalian, the launch of Yakutia Airlines’ service to Yichang, Air China increasing its flight frequency to Beijing to 13 times per week, and China Southern Airlines launching its Guangzhou service with a stop in Harbin.
In total, more than 50 flights per week will operate from Vladivostok Airport to destinations in China during the upcoming summer season.
