The volume of air travel between Russia and Uzbekistan totaled 2 million passengers in 2025, according to Russian Minister of Transport Andrey Nikitin. He made the announcement at a meeting of the joint commission, which brings together the heads of government of both countries.
Compared to the pre-pandemic year of 2019, passenger traffic has increased by more than 60% — when 1.24 million air passengers were carried between the two nations.
Nikitin also noted that in the first two months of this year, airlines carried over 361,000 passengers between Russia and Uzbekistan. Currently, an average of 367 flights per week are operated in this corridor.
According to CentralAsia+Aero, Uzbekistan has become the most popular destination for Russian airlines in the upcoming summer season. Carriers will operate flights to this Central Asian country on 67 routes — more than to any other destination.
