Sukhoi Business Jet delivered to Comlux KZ
Comlux KZ, the Kazakh subsidiary of Swiss corporate charter airline Comlux, has taken delivery of a Russian-built Sukhoi Business Jet (SBJ). Prior to shipment to the customer the airliner’s cabin was refitted with a bespoke interior and the SBJ underwent full certification to EASA standards. The aircraft will be operated in the interest of copper mining specialist Kazakhmys Corporation.
The SBJ interior was fitted at Comlux’s completion and servicing center in Indianapolis, U.S. According to earlier reports, the aircraft was expected to be equipped with extra fuel tanks at the center.
This particular airliner seats 19 passengers in two zones: the VIP area at the front offers four seats and an elongated sofa, while the aft area is equipped with five three-abreast rows of seats.
The airliner, factory number 95060, was originally built in 2014 in the Sukhoi Superjet 100 long-range passenger version (SSJ100LR) for Russian carrier UTair Aviation. It is one of the two SSJ100s ordered by Comlux in 2011, with an option for two more.
The SBJ corporate version is already in use by several other non-Russian operators, including the Thai Air Force and the Border Guard Service of Kazakhstan.
