RusLine connects to Sabre to boost sales
In a move to boost its ticket sales across Russia, CIS as well as internationally, Russian regional carrier RusLine has connected to Sabre Corporation’s global distribution system (GDS). The airline expects that by connecting to Sabre it will improve its exposure to a greater customer base across the region.
The agreement enables global distribution of the carrier’s fares and services. It provides RusLine with access to a network of more than 425 thousand agents who work with Sabre trading platform worldwide.
“Thanks to e-ticketing technology the agencies will receive a wide range of functionality, including access to information about seat availability and flights schedule, instant booking confirmation, modification and exchange or return of the tickets via Sabre system, “- a Sabre representative explained.
RusLine stressed that the operator’s objectives are to develop its route network, but also to improve its product range for business travelers and tourists. “Thanks to Sabre global reach we will be able to communicate effectively with the agents in key markets as well as promote and sell our products in the most convenient way for us “, – said Alexander Krutov, RusLine commercial director.
RusLine has become yet another Russian company to choose Sabre technology to promote ticket sales. UTair airline had strengthened the cooperation with American corporation earlier, choosing Sabre Branded Fares technology, which provides connected to the GDS agents with extensive information about all additional options included in tariff packages.
RusLine currently operates a fleet of 20 Bombardier CRJ 100/200 and three Embraer 120 mostly inside Russia. Its only two international routes are from St. Petersburg to Oslo and Vilnius.
