Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Technics to service more Aeroflot 737NGs

Volga-Dnepr Technics Moscow (VDTM) has extended its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) agreement to cover the servicing of 41 Aeroflot Boeing 737-800s, an addendum to the original 2013 contract which provided for the maintenance of the carrier’s initial 30 of the type.
VDTM currently provides line maintenance services for Aeroflot’s fleet at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport. In addition, the company offers structural repairs and non-destructive testing, as well as line maintenance of Aeroflot’s fleet, at its base at Pashkovsky airport in Russia’s Krasnodar.
For the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup, to be held in Russia during June and July, VDTM will also guarantee maintenance support for Aeroflot’s aircraft at another three Russian airports: Volgograd, Rostov-on-Don, and Nizhny Novgorod.
VDTM CEO Pavel Tereschenkov commented: “We continue to deliver quality MRO services for our key customers in Russia, including for our leading client Aeroflot.”
The MRO operation has become a key part of VDTM’s currently expanding parent Volga-Dnepr Group, which includes the global airfreight operators Volga-Dnepr Airlines, AirBridgeCargo, and UK-based CargoLogicAir. The MRO specialist is planning to launch new line maintenance bases in Vladivostok (Russia) and Liege (Belgium) shortly, which should support further development of the group’s activities.
VDTM, which provides MRO services for both Russian- and foreign-built aircraft, was established in 2008 and, inside Russia, now operates from five bases at the three Moscow airports (Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo), at Krasnoyarsk’s Emelyanovo, and and Krasnodar’s Pashkovsky airport. Each station is certified to provide a range of services for Boeing 747, Boeing 737, Airbus A320, and Sukhoi Superjet 100 airliners. VDTM has also recently introduced aircraft interior and cargo equipment services.
