Russia' Red Wings airlines gets Superjet 100 :: Red Wings

Russia’s Red Wings airlines has taken delivery of a new Russian-made Superjet 100 regional jet, the 21st of the type in its fleet. The carrier, which is affiliated with the aircraft manufacturer – the United Aircraft Corporation – obtained one of the last aircraft, assembled in the model’s original configuration, with western-made components. Production of such aircraft was discontinued in 2022, when international suppliers terminated contracts, under which they produced equipment for the jet.

The aircraft (MSN 95228) registered as RA-89192, features a single-class cabin with 100 economy seats. The airline plans to base the jet in Yekaterinburg and operate it on both domestic and international routes.

Another similar SSJ 100 in the same configuration was handed by UAC’s subsidiary Yakovlev to Lukoil-Avia in September. It was MSN 95230, which received registration RA-89215. At that time the OEM had two more of such aircraft in stock – 95228 and 95229.
