Russian carriers have reported a significant bump in passenger numbers to India this year, with traffic growing by 12.4% over the first ten months compared to the same period in 2024. According to data from the Russian Ministry of Transport, airlines transported over 204,000 travelers between the countries during this timeframe.

Regular service is currently maintained on four routes, operating at a combined frequency of 15 weekly flights. Aeroflot remains the dominant player on the Russia-India corridor. The flag carrier transported the vast majority of these passengers, moving 180,000 travelers from January through October—a modest 1% year-on-year increase.

Aeroflot operates a daily direct service from its Moscow Sheremetyevo hub to Delhi. Furthermore, its winter seasonal schedule caters to leisure demand with direct flights to Goa from three Russian cities: Moscow, Yekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk, each offering three weekly rotations.

Last year Russian airlines carried nearly 240,000 passengers between the two countries.
