Rossiya Airlines starts 2026 with strong January gains

Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot Group) carried 838,700 passengers in January 2026, representing a 15.3% increase year-on-year. Domestic traffic saw a robust growth of 17.7%, reaching 712,700 passengers, while international volume rose by modest 3% to 126,100.

Operational metrics also trended upward, with total fleet utilization reaching 18,260 flight hours—a 10.3% increase over January 2025. The average passenger load factor improved significantly by 4.0 percentage points to 88%.

These results follow a steady performance in 2025, during which the carrier served 12.02 million passengers (+4.4% Y-on-Y). While domestic traffic grew by 6.8% to 10.47 million, international volumes declined by 9.5%, totaling 1.55 million passengers for the year.
