Natalia Fileva has replaced her husband Vladislav as chair of the board at S7 Airlines, Russia’s largest private airline. Together with sister carrier Globus Airlines it forms the S7 Group, which is co-owned by the Filevs.

Elsewhere, on November 8, Dmitry Saprykin was appointed to the position of general director of Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, succeeding Vasily Aleksandrov. Saprykin previously occupied an executive management position at Transaero Airlines and, most recently, headed Rossiya Airlines, the St Petersburg-based Aeroflot subsidiary.

In other appointments, the board of directors of Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot has appointed new directors for three management committees, with the audit panel now run by Vasily Sidorov, human resources headed by Igor Kamenskoy and the strategy committee by Roman Pakhomov. The latter is also general director of Avia Capital Service, Rostec’s leasing subsidiary.

In the CIS, Tim Jordan has been elected to run FlyArystan, Kazakhstan’s first low-cost carrier, which is the newly-formed subsidiary of national carrier Air Astana. He has more than 15 years of management experience in low-cost operations at Cebu Pacific and Virgin Blue.
