Odesa airport continues to grow

Ukraine’s third largest airport Odesa welcomed 77,214 passengers in February, up 19.1% year-on-year. The majority, 60,471, travelled on international flights, with 16,743 flying domestically.
Collectively, in the first two months of 2018, Odesa processed 166,852 passengers. The number of flights performed in January and February together increased by 11.4% to 1,879 (1,360 internationally and 519 domestically).
In the period, Bulgaria Air launched a new Odesa-Sofia route; flights to Krakow in Poland were also announced by Ukrainian operator Yanair.
In 2017, when its new terminal was inaugurated, the airport welcomed more than 1.22 million passengers, an increase of 18.3% on the previous year, with more than 240,000 passengers on domestic flights and 980,000 on international services. Three new airlines started operations to and from the airport last year: airBaltic (Latvia), Sun d’Or (an EL AL subsidiary), and Pegasus Airlines (Turkey).
