Nord-Technik MRO provider expands operations
Russian Nord-Technic MRO provider significantly boosted its production performances. Experts explain the ramp up was triggered by increased aircraft utilization of the company’s key customers and by timely performance of modifications and bulletins with extended service rating. The fact that the provider increased number of active line maintenance stations also contributed.
Whereas in 2015 the Arkhangelsk-based MRO provider registered 128,000 man hours and carried out 339 base maintenance checks, the results of 2016 comprised 155,000 man hours and 533 checks, thus, demonstrating a steady growth by 21 and 63 per cent correspondingly.
Nord-Technik financial director Sergey Khromov told Russian Aviation Insider “in 2017 the company will primarily focus on mastering new types of maintenance works as well as active promotion of the entire scope of services in search for new customers.”
The MRO provider has two maintenance hangars in its disposal – one in Arkhangelsk (Talagi Airport) and one in Krasnoyarsk (Emelyanovo Airport). Apart from that, the company launched a new line maintenance station in Sochi last year, Khromov says. All in all, number of line stations (as of February, 2017) has reached nine, Nord-Technik’s official website indicates.
In spring 2016 the company officials mentioned that most of the work is performed by Arkhangelsk, Krasnoyarsk and Domodedovo stations, which service the provider’s key clients, namely Nordavia, NordStar and Komiaviatrans.
