Moldova’s LCC FlyOne to resume scheduled flights on July 1

Moldovan budget carrier to restore its network of 14 international destinations

Moldova’s only low-cost carrier (LCC) to gradually resume scheduled and charter flights to its all 14 destinations starting July 1, the privately-owned airline confirmed in a statement.

To help passengers and crew members feel safe, Chisinau International Airport-based FlyOne says to implemented additional hygiene measures including regular aircraft disinfection, social distancing rules at check-in and during boarding, and providing antibacterial products for hand sanitation when boarding the aircraft. Also, according to the airline’s new procedures, and based on the operational instructions of Moldovan CAA and EASA, passengers are required to wear gloves and masks before boarding the aircraft. The onboard food services and in-flight magazines will not be available.

Mircea Maleca, FlyOne general manager, said: “We are happy to announce flights re-launch for all passengers who want to travel. To ensure the safety, we have taken additional hygiene measures and will continue to implement new measures based on CAA, EASA and IATA guidelines and instructions as long as it is needed. ”

LCC FlyOne was launched in 2016 and currently operates direct flights from the country’s capital Chișinău to 14 destinations, which include ten scheduled services to Frankfurt, Tel Aviv, St Petersburg, London, Moscow, Parma, Verona, Dublin, Lisbon and Paris, and four charter routes to Antalya, Heraklion, Sharm El Sheikh and Bodrum.

The airline operates a fleet made of five Airbus A320 family aircraft.
