Magnetic MRO upgrades its RFID systems to an advanced level
Estonian-based aftermarket specialist Magnetic MRO has launched a second unmanned RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tool control system, resulting in two advanced Tool Gates and one RFID kiosk in total throughout its facilities in Tallinn, Estonia.
Supported by the latest software, the project has been designed and upgraded to fully automate inventory transactions so that all hangars are able to communicate with each other without manual input.
By upgrading its RFID systems to this new advanced level, Magnetic MRO (formerly Air Maintenance Estonia) is now able to provide full quality control for calibration, servicing and testing, as well as benefitting from the convenience of issuing tools and equipment with easy return options. The system allows employees to assign the relevant tools to each respective task card, thereby optimising preparation times and enhancing operational safety and control.
“We are proud to be one of the few pioneers in the market who has this advanced inventory management system in-house,” says Maksim Kolesnik, Magnetic MRO’s facility and tooling manager.
The company is also preparing to launch CribMaster Mobile, another software upgrade, which will improve the user experience and avoid wasting time on obligatory desktop interactions.
Magnetic MRO is 100 per cent owned by China’s Guangzhou Hangxin Aviation Technology Co Ltd.
