Magnetic MRO to provide Air Astana with emergency slide maintenance

Estonian MRO provider Magnetic MRO has inked a long-term contract with the Kazakh flagship airline Air Astana over refurbishment and even overhaul of the emergency slides aboard the carrier’s aircraft.

The Estonian company began offering maintenance on the slides since 2014 as a part of a strategy to attract new clients. It has now the capabilities of providing maintenance services on air escape slides produced by Goodrich and AirCruisers, which are used aboard Airbus A320s and Boeing 767 / 757 / 737Classics. Besides maintenance on this, the MRO provider also does maintenance on emergency rafts.

Air Astana operates Boeing 767-300ERs, Boeing 757-200s, Airbus A319s / A320s / A321s, A320neos and Embraer E190s.
