Despite the sanctions
Despite the complex political situation, many international companies are attending the 12th MAKS air show, which opened in Zhukovsky today. The organizers report around 600 Russian and over 155 foreign exhibitors representing 30 countries. The French, US, Belgian, Swiss, Belarusian, Iranian, and Czech participants are concentrated in the respective national pavilions.
Aerospace manufacturers are exhibiting their products at pavilion stands, and there are over 110 Russian- and foreign-made aircraft in the static park.
The first three days of the exhibition will be dedicated to business, with a variety conferences, roundtables, symposia, and seminars offering participants the opportunity to talk shop and find new business partners. A number of domestic and international contracts for military and civilian equipment are expected to be signed at the show. MAKS will throw open its doors to the general public on August 28-30. Eight aerobatic teams will take part in the daily demonstration flights. The organizers expect an attendance of at least 400,000 people.
