Ansat gets a second Chinese customer
Not long after receiving its first order from China, the light multi-purpose Ansat helicopter has received a second order from that same country, from Jiangsu Baoling Aviation Equipment. The order is for the Ansat fitted with the medical configuration, reports the rotorcraft’s manufacturer — Russian Helicopters.
Delivery is set for next year. The Chinese company, alongside the Ansat, also ordered a Mil Mi-171 transport helicopter and a Kamov Ka-32 coaxical rotor model.
Jiangsu Baoli is ordering Russian rotorcraft for the second time, the first being last year, when it put in an order for four Ka-32A11BCs, which are to be delivered this year and next year.
The company has also pledged to help its Russian partners sell 100 rotorcraft within the next ten years.
Ansat’s first Chinese order came from Wuhan Rand Aviation Technology Service, which signed a firm contract for two helicopters, with an option for six more, this week at Airshow China 2016.
