Aeroflot wins prestigious TOBY award for Melkisarovo facility

Aeroflot  has won a TOBY award for real-estate management in the Corporate Facility nomination. Russia’s leading airline was awarded for its professional management of the Melkisarovo facility by Sheremetyevo.

The awards ceremony took place at the PROESTATE International Real Estate Investment Forum. The TOBY prize is one of the most prestigious and best known in the sector, and traditionally awarded to a building whose potential and possibilities are used to the maximum.

The Melkisarovo facility was completed in 2009 by Aeroflot’s new managerial team. Staff at the facility are directly involved in Aeroflot’s operations and passenger service and a number of other areas, such as the high-tech Situation Centre. Melkisarovo is distinguished by its ergonomics and expressive architecture, with two parallel buildings ascending into the sky. According to the jury, the Melkisarovo facility meets the fundamental principle of the TOBY Awards: “A building that gives you an edge in the market”.

“This award is a sign of recognition of Aeroflot’s effectiveness in yet another key area, that of real estate management,” said Vladimir Alexandrov, Deputy CEO for Legal and Property Issues. “Together with our young fleet, qualified personnel and access to the latest digital technologies, Aeroflot’s infrastructure facilities represent another important asset that has a direct impact on the growth of the airline. Our real estate is a large, complex and, in many respects, unique project created over the years, under the efficient and reliable management.”
