Aeroflot to increase frequencies on 20 routes during this winter

Aeroflot Russia’s largest airline grouping will fly scheduled flights on 298 routes to 56 countries (Aeroflot)

Aeroflot, Russian largest air carrier, is to increase the frequencies of flights to 20 destinations during the current winter schedule from 27 October 2019 through to 29 March 2020.

The national flag carrier is to considerably expand the number of its flights to the popular leisure destinations of Dubai, Bangkok and Phuket. To meet seasonal demand Aeroflot will also increase the frequencies of flights to Miami, Male and Ho Chi Minh City.

Russia’s leading carrier will also offer more services on routes from Moscow to Denpasar and Colombo with flights operated jointly with its Rossiya Airlines subsidiary.

Flight frequencies will also be stepped up for the following destinations from Moscow to cities in Russia and CIS: Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhnevartovsk, Orenburg, Rostov-on-Don, St Petersburg, Sochi, Chelyabinsk and Ufa, as well as Minsk.

At the same time, Aeroflot is launching seven of its own flights per week on the Moscow-Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk route in addition to daily services operated by its subsidiary Rossiya Airlines.

In total this winter, Aeroflot will operate flights to 149 destinations in 53 countries. The airline’s network will span 55 routes across Russia, 17 points in seven CIS countries and 77 international destinations.

Aeroflot’s extensive route network is being supplemented by services offered by its subsidiary airlines. Rossiya Airlines will operate flights under Aeroflot’s commercial management on 47 routes; 39 services from St Petersburg and eight from Moscow. In Russia’s Far East, Group member Aurora Airlines will offer flights on 16 routes under Aeroflot’s commercial management. Low-cost carrier Pobeda is developing a unique route network and will fly to 86 destinations (35 unique routes).

In the 2019-2020 IATA winter season, the airlines of the Aeroflot Group will perform scheduled flights on 298 routes (242 unique) to 56 different countries.
