Aeroflot has extended its Approved Gate Check (AGC) status

aeroflot press-release

Aeroflot has once again extended its Approved Gate Check (AGC) status awarded by British Home Office.

AGC status repeated confirmation proves the recognition of high expertise of Aeroflot’s staff in preventing illegal migration to the UK.

Aeroflot has long ensured high efficiency in documents’ checking. This has enabled the authority to extend the AGC status for yet another whole year. Normally, this status is granted for a six months’ term. The status is tendered to air companies flying to the UK who meet the following criteria:

  • Availability of specially-trained staff to detect false documents;
  • Exercise of passport and visa control, obligatory documents’ checking immediately at boarding;
  • Efficient interaction with the UK immigration authorities, regular information exchange over latest forgery methods and illegal migration.

Besides the UK Aeroflot also cooperates with the authorized representatives of the other immigration offices attached to the foreign embassies in Russia to prevent illegal migration.
