Aeroflot Group triumphs at Wings of Russia Awards ceremony

Aeroflot Group took the main prizes at the national aviation award — Wings of Russia 2015. The ceremony was held yesterday at Renaissance Moscow Monarch Centre.

PJSC «Aeroflot» received Wings of Russia Award in two main categories.

Aeroflot was named «Airline of the Year — Passenger’s Choice» and won the award in another key category — «Airline of the Year — International Passenger Traffic».

26.1 million passengers traveled with PJSC «Aeroflot» in 2015, while total traffic of Aeroflot Group amounted to 39.4 million passengers. Aeroflot achievements have been widely recognized both in Russia and abroad.

The Award Committee marked the success of Aeroflot’s subsidiary airlines. Low-cost carrier Pobeda became the winner in the category «Project of the Year». In 2015 the Aeroflot Group subsidiary airline carried more than 3 mln. passengers and joined TOP-5 major Russian carriers at the beginning of the 2016. Nowadays Pobeda expands its flight destinations to include more Russian and international routes.
