Aeroflot flies Russian Olympic team to Rio de Janeiro

Aeroflot today carried Russia’s Olympic team to Rio de Janeiro on flight SU 7150.

The flight left Sheremetyevo International Airport Terminal D at 8:10am this morning. Following a scheduled fuel stop in Madrid, where there will be a dedicated relaxation area for passengers, the flight is expected to arrive at 6pm local time this evening.

The Boeing 777 has been prepared specially to ensure optimal on-board conditions for the comfort of team members and their support staff. The athletes will be offered a special menu based on recommendations from leading doctors and sports nutritionists and factoring in the athletes’ dietary regimes and the length of the flight. The flight is equipped with the necessary medical and sports equipment.

Russia’s flag carrier is also an official sponsor of PFC CSKA, and the official carrier of CSKA professional basketball club. Aeroflot sponsors the Russian Volleyball Federation and is a partner of a range of other sporting organisations, including the Russian Golf Association in national competitions.
