Aeroflot celebrates 10th anniversary of flights to Hannover

Moscow, 5 SeptemberAeroflot today marks ten years of flying to Hannover, one of the biggest cities in Germany.

The first regular flight took place on 5 September, 2006 using a Tu-154M aircraft. Since the summer of 2007 flights have operated daily on modern and comfortable Airbus A320 aircraft.

Aeroflot currently operates flights between Moscow and Hannover every day at the following times:

Flight departure SU 2342 from Moscow at 10:40am, arriving in Hannover at 12:40pm. The return flight SU 2342 departs from Moscow at 1.30pm and arrives in Moscow at 5.15pm (local time).

From September 2006 to August 2016 Aeroflot has carried more than 692,000 passengers on this route, and in the first seven months of 2016 the volume of traffic between Moscow and Hannover reached nearly 53,000 passengers.

Among the largest airports in Germany Hannover is one of the leaders by number of transit passengers to Russia and other CIS countries through Sheremetyevo. Consistent passenger traffic from Hannover is characterised by high load factors: more than 80% in the first seven months of 2016, reaching more than 96% in July 2016.

Aeroflot’s route network from its primary airport at Sheremetyevo includes seven German cities: Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Düsseldorf, Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
