WET LEASING

Wet leasing took off in Russia last year, driven mainly by Aeroflot’s efforts. In December Aeroflot launched flights using three Airbus A330-300s provided by privately-owned iFly airline, being the first such program on the Russian market.

Contracting the aircraft together with the crew is a novice scheme for the Russian airline industry. This allows the contractors to expand their fleet capacities while helping the service provider to reduce operational expenses and risks.
