GENERAL TRAVEL CONSIDERATIONS
Though the pandemic remains a challenge globally and makes cross-border travel a difficult task, foreign visitors from a certain number of countries are able to attend MRO Russia & CIS 2021 event in-person.
On March 16, 2020 Russian Government restricted entry to the territory of the country for the purpose of ensuring state security, protecting public health and non-proliferation of a new corona-virus infection. Since that time over 50 countries were gradually added to the list of countries, which were granted exemption and now have a regular air connection with Russia. For the moment Russia resumes reciprocal regular flights with the United Kingdom, Tanzania, Turkey, Switzerland, the UAE, Maldives, Egypt, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Korea, Cuba, Serbia, Japan, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Vietnam, India, Qatar, Finland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Greece, Singapore, Venezuela, Germany, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Hungary, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Morocco, Croatia, Belgium, Bulgaria, China, Cyprus, Jordan, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia and the USA.
Nationals of the above countries and holders of a permanent residence card or another document certifying their right to permanent residence in the above countries may enter the Russian Federation from the above countries via air entry points on the state border of the Russian Federation upon presentation of valid identity documents and a visa.
There is no requirement to quarantine after arrival, though each foreign traveler must show to airline personnel during boarding a flight to Russia medical document in Russian or in English proving a negative PCR-COVID-test result taken not earlier than 3 calendar days before the day of arrival to Russia.
If it is not possible to submit the medical certificate in Russian or in English, it may be submitted in the official language of the country where the issuing organization is registered, accompanied by a Russian translation certified by a consular official of the Russian Federation. During the flight, passengers must also fill in the form provided by the flight attendants.
Prior to arriving in the Russian Federation, passengers must fill out the questionnaire for those arriving in the Russian Federation to ensure quarantine control at entry points on the state border of the Russian Federation.
