Gazprom Avia, the airline serving Russia’s gas giant Gazprom, has acquired two Airbus Helicopters H155 medium rotorcraft. The carrier has also announced a tender to select from companies capable of ferring both helicopters from the Airbus Helicopters headquarters in Marignane, France to Gazprom Avia’s base airport of Ostafyevo outside Moscow.

The deadline for applications is December 21. The tender results will be announced after December 28. The ferry flight should take approximately five days, and the contractor should be able to render a number of other services to Gazprom Avia, including support with registering both H155s in Russia.

Gazprom Avia is one of Russia’s largest rotorcraft operators. Its fleet currently includes one EC-120B and eight EC-135 T2+ helicopters, as well as 70 examples of the Mil Mi8/17 family.
