Belavia brings in another Embraer E195 jet

Belavia E-Jets will replace smaller, ageing Bombardier CRJs (Belavia)

As expected, Belavia -Belarusian Airlines has accepted another new Embraer E195 aircraft on lease from Nordic Aviation Capital Dac (NAC), reports the Denmark-based lessor.

The E195, sporting registration number EW533PO (construction number MSN 19000766), is currently being ferried and is expected to arrive at the Minsk airport base of the national airline on April 27. The aircraft is configured to accommodate 107 passengers, featuring 11 business class seats and 96 in economy.

Just a week ago, two new Embraer regional jets – an E175 and an E195 – joined the Belavia ranks. All of these aircraft are part of a batch of five under an operational lease agreement with NAC, with the fourth and fifth due to be delivered in December of this year and in April next year.

It is expected that the new E-Jets will fully satisfy the demands of a substantial increase in the airline’s passenger numbers and will, in the future, replace smaller, ageing Bombardier CRJs, says the airline.
