Russian MRO providers Aviazapchast and Utair-Engineering (a subsidiary of UTair Group) have concluded an agreement at HeliRussia 2017 to set up a jоint helicopter maintenance center at Yermolino airfield in Kaluga Region’s Borovsky District. The document was signed by Aviazapchast CEO Viktor Dzheruk and UTair-Engineering CEO Rashid Faradzhayev. Dzheruk commented that the center was to reach its full operational capacity by early August.

“Virtually everything is ready for the opening: the infrastructure is in place, the helipad has been registered and all the necessary certificates have been obtained,” Dzheruk told Show Observer. “Now our colleagues [Utair-Engineering] are completing certification of the line maintenance station, after which we will be ready to start operations. We expect the center to help further develop the business aviation sector in the region, particularly with regard to the development of business aviation and air ambulance operations at Yermolino.”
