Russia’s flagship carrier Aeroflot has added three new narrowbodies to its fleet, with two Airbus A320s and a Boeing 737-800 recently entering revenue service with the operator. All three are equipped with winglets.

The two A320s deliveries were financed by Chinese SkyCo International Financial Leasing through a deal arranged by Lithuanian-based AviaAM Leasing. They arrived factory-new in November 2017 from Toulouse and Hamburg under a 12-year operating lease contract. The aircraft, VP-BTJ and VP-BTO (s.n. MSN 7902 and MSN 7932 respectively), seat 150 in economy and eight in business. With the new aircraft factored in, Aeroflot’s A320 fleet has thus reached 75 airframes.

The third newly delivered aircraft is a Boeing 737-800 (VP-BKК). The carrier’s pervious -800 delivery, VP-BKN, had arrived in late November. There are therefore now 35 airliners of this particular modification in the operator’s fleet.

VP-BKK was delivered via Avia Capital Services as part of an operating lease contract for 50 Boeing narrowbodies. Deliveries started in 2013. Aeroflot Group, which also includes subsidiary carriers Rossiya Airlines, Pobeda Airlines, and Aurora Airlines, is additionally in agreement for 10 Boeing 737-800s with Sberbank’s Ireland-based subsidiary SB Leasing Ireland Limited.

Apart from the two types mentioned, Aeroflot also operates Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 widebodies, Airbus А321 narrowbodies, and Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jetliners.
