Aeroflot has taken delivery of another Boeing 737-800, the 17th in its fleet.

The aircraft with tail number VP-BCG (s.n. 41217/5840) entered service on April 1. It has a double-class configuration with 20 seats in business and 138 in economy class.

Since the beginning of the year, Aeroflot has received three 737-800s direct from the OEM. The aircraft is leased from Avia Capital Services (part of Rostec), which has a contract with Aeroflot for delivery of 50 Boeing 737-800/900ERs.

With the newly acquired Boeing aircraft, Aeroflot’s fleet has reached 172 aircraft, including Airbus A319/320/321s in the narrow-body segment, along with wide-body A330s, Boeing 777s, and regional SSJ 100s. Average aircraft age in Aeroflot’s fleet is just 4.2 years.
