9th Aviation IT Forum: new projects and strategies

Held in Moscow Marriott Grand Hotel on May 19, 2016 the Aviation IT Forum confirmed international recognition as the major networking platform for the region’s airline and airport IT management and gathered more than 120 industry professionals.

Speaker line-up featured acknowledged international experts. The conference agenda included the presentations of respected industry leaders to meet the most valued industry expectations with regard to IT infrastructure modernization in air transport. Delegates enjoyed this opportunity to receive broad overview of IT-industry development trends, in-depth analysis of solutions along with brand new product presentations.

The 1st session “Aviation IT Trends” included the presentations of both IT-providers and airlines. Lutz Vorneweg, Amadeus presented his view of industry development speaking about “Merchandizing – how it really works”. Aleksey Shubenkov, Sabre told that today’s trend is total revenue optimization. Alexey Kukanov, Volga-Dnepr showed the current IT strategy of cargo airline, and Sergey Zhukov, S7 IT spoke about troubles in IT projects implementation. Also this session included the demonstration of new products in aviation: Alexander Beley, Aeronavigator presented the complex approach to EFB, Gagik Grigoryan, UTair spoke about national integration of FFP and Dmitry Krasnov, SITA caused many questions by presenting company’s view on smart technology in aviation.

The next session of business Agenda “Air Travel, Marketing and Sales” was opened by Mikhail Lazarev, Sirena-travel, who spoke about modern solutions for managing airline resources. Vladimir Proskurin, IATA and Ekaterina Dmitruk, S7 Airlines showed the theory and practice of NDC implementation. Representatives of Travelport – Svetlana Pankova and Andrey Krinitsin – opened new commercial horizons for travel agents by demonstrating their new product “Rich Content and Branding”. New products in aviation were also demonstrated by Viktor Ignatov, IBM and Inna Beltyukova, INNA TOUR.

The closing part of conference Agenda included the presentations of airports. Adrian James, Amadeus presented the current situation in industry and Alexander Kolesnikov shared new IT solutions of airport holding “Basel Aero”.
